Angela Weigel
Angela Weigel is an arts professional originally from Rochester, Massachusetts. Angela is currently blending her passions for teaching and the arts as a full time dance teacher for K-1 at a public charter school in Queens. She dances and choreographs for Variety Pack Collective, a collective she helped to co-find, DanceWorks NYC, and other various dance projects. Angela has had the pleasure of performing at various venues around the city and beyond including Lincoln Center, Jacob’s Pillow, Ailey Citigroup Theater, Anita’s Way in Times Square, Dixon Place, Universal Preservation Hall in Saratoga Springs, and Frank Sinatra School of the Arts. Recent dance credits include Anthology 33, Dixon Place’s 303030, Spark Theater Festival, Spoke the Hub’s Winter Follies and DanceWorks NYC. Through Variety Pack Collective, Angela has had the pleasure of collaborating with artists such as Vivake Khamsingsavath, Victor V. Gurbo, Mark Caserta, 530 Dance Photography, ukulele artist Gwendolyn Fitz, and Artistic Director of En.J.inn Arts, Trevor New. Angela Graduated with a MA in teaching from Relay Graduate School of Education, and a BA in dance, and psychology from Umass Amherst. When she is not dancing or teaching, she can be found taking dance classes, playing with her bunny Rex, or hanging out with her best friends, some of which are also in Breath Dance Project!
